Welcome to the Virginia City Haunted House located at the ghostly historical Freight Depot; or should we say “Fright Depot”?
The Freight Depot was built in 1869 designed to handle large shipments of ore and goods. Destroyed by the “Great Fire” of 1875, it was rebuilt in 1877 and remained active until 1938. After that, the Freight Depot served as a stable, lumberyard, and storage facility. Today, it stands as a largely unaltered reminder of the Virginia & Truckee (V & T) railroad’s importance.
We’re sure there are decades of stories, myths and ghostly sitings, making the depot the perfect location for the Virginia City Haunted House. Prepare yourself for a heart-beating experience that will keep you on your toes. The Virginia City Haunted House is a spooky adventure that incorporates detailed scenes that represent the historical past of the Comstock Load.
